Founders Day

On Nov. 4, faculty, staff and students celebrated Founders Day in recognition of the first day of classes held on Nov. 6, 1871. The event occured as a part of the 150th anniversary of Missouri S&T but also marked the revival of a tradition that has faded away over the years.

Held in the Havener Center atrium, interactive stations were strategically placed to encourage a natural flow between the tables and dipslays while abiding by social distancing guidelines. Attendees were provided with giveaways, an opportunity to learn about the 150th anniversary time capsule and traveling museum, share ideas for what they hope to see in the next 150 years, and have their photo taken with Joe Miner.
